Micom Trooper

The Micom Trooper is a 50 watt backpack radio that comes with a carrying harness, rechargeable battery, H250 handset and collapsible antenna.  It was the first backpack radio in the Micom series of software defined military type HF transceiver capable of operation on any frequency in the 1.8-30 MHz range.  The unit has been tested & certified by DOD's Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC) for compliance with MIL-STD-188-141B, the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) standard used by the U.S. and most of the world.  The Trooper is  designed for use in the field by soldiers or disaster response personnel, but may be used with a 12 VDC power supply as a base station.  The Trooper is available with external type-3 AES encryption for both voice & data.  This radio is no longer in production, but may be available from our stock of demonstration units.  See options list for other available features.
