Micom Trooper



The Micom Trooper is a 50 watt backpack radio that comes with a carrying harness, rechargeable battery, H250 handset and collapsible antenna.  It was the first backpack radio in the Micom series of software defined military type HF transceiver capable of operation on any frequency in the 1.8-30 MHz range.  The unit has been tested & certified by DOD's Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC) for compliance with MIL-S. and most of the world.  The Trooper is  designed for use in the field by soldiers or disaster response personnel, but may be used with a 12 VDC power supply as a base station.  The Trooper is available with external type-3 AES encryption for both voice & data.  This radio is no longer in production, but may be available from our stock of demonstration units.  See options list for other available features.

Micom-2 Rapid Deployment Package


The Micom-2 RDP is a 125 watt radio built in an aluminum suitcase.  The unit comes with a built-in power supply that runs off 115/220 volts AC as well as 12 VDC.  The unit can be ordered with a long-wire antenna and  internal automatic antenna tuner, or with a broadband antenna. It was the first RDP radio in the Micom series of software defined military type HF transceiver capable of operation on any frequency in the 1.8-30 MHz range.  The unit has been tested & certified by DOD's Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC) for compliance with MIL-STD-188-141B, the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) standard used by the U.S. and most of the world.  The Micom-2 RDP is available with external type-3 AES encryption for both voice & data.  This radio is no longer in production, but may be available from our stock of demonstration units.  See options list for other available features.

Micom PathFinder Backpack


The Micom PathFinder  is the latest backpack radio in the Micom series and is a software defined military type HF transceiver capable of operation on any frequency in the 1.8-30 MHz range.  The radio has a 25 watt output, larger display and were made with more computing power than the 2 series, which supports enhanced features. The unit comes with a H250 handset, rechargeable battery, collapsible antenna and carrying frame.  It has been tested & certified by DOD's Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC) for compliance with MIL-STD-188-141B, the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) standard used by the U.S. and most of the world.  The PathFinder is  designed for use in the field by soldiers or disaster response personnel, but may be used with a 12 VDC power supply as a base station.  The PathFinder is available with embedded type-3 AES encryption for both voice & data.  See options list for other available features.
